These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Fyney, a personal finance management application, including the application, website, and related services. By accessing or using Fyney, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, you must not access or use Fyney.

Who We Are

Fyney is operated by the Fyney team. Questions, requests, or notices regarding these Terms of Use may be submitted to fyney@fyney.com.

Nature of the Service

Fyney is a tool for recording, organizing, synchronizing, and analyzing personal or shared financial information entered by users. Fyney is not a bank, brokerage, payment institution, investment adviser, tax adviser, legal adviser, accounting adviser, or Open Finance provider. Fyney does not connect to your bank accounts, request online banking passwords, execute financial transactions, hold funds, issue payment instruments, or provide regulated financial services.

Eligibility and Account Responsibility

You may use Fyney only if you are legally permitted to do so under applicable law and are at least 13 years old or the minimum age required by applicable law. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when using Fyney and promptly update information when necessary.

User Data and Accuracy

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and appropriateness of the information, records, files, and other content that you or members of your group enter or upload through Fyney. Fyney may calculate balances, statistics, reminders, limits, goals, invoices, investment references, and other outputs based on user-provided data, public reference data, and application rules. Such outputs may be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, or affected by incorrect data entry, synchronization issues, service interruptions, or software errors.

No Financial, Investment, Tax, Legal, or Accounting Advice

Fyney is provided for organization and informational purposes only. Fyney does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, accounting, credit, insurance, or other professional advice. Information, charts, projections, reminders, statistics, goals, investment calculations, or market references displayed in Fyney should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions and for verifying all information before taking any action.

Shared Groups and Permissions

Fyney allows users to create or join shared groups. Information within a group may be visible to other group members according to group settings, ownership, and permissions. Group creators and members with elevated permissions may be able to view, create, update, delete, restore, suspend, or manage more information than regular members. You should not add information to a shared group unless you are willing for permitted members to access and use it according to the group's configuration.

If you join a group, leave a group, are removed from a group, or if a group is deleted, access to shared information may change and certain data, files, permissions, or records may be removed, suspended, or become unavailable. These actions may be irreversible.

Proof Files and Sensitive Information

Fyney may allow you to upload proof files, including images or PDF documents related to transactions. Proof files may contain sensitive financial or personal information, such as names, tax identifiers, bank account details, Pix keys, transaction IDs, amounts, dates, merchant names, and recipient information. You should upload proof files only if you are willing for those files to be stored in Fyney and made available to users who have access to the related transaction or group. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to upload and share any files submitted through Fyney.

Subscriptions, Paid Features, and Plan Limits

Fyney may offer free and paid plans, subscriptions, or premium features. Paid features may be purchased and managed through Google Play Billing. Prices, billing cycles, renewal terms, cancellation rights, refunds, and payment methods are subject to Google Play terms and applicable law. Unless otherwise required by law or by Google Play policies, payments are handled by Google and must be managed through Google Play.

Fyney may apply plan limits, including limits related to transactions, groups, members, resources, proof files, storage, synchronization, notifications, ads, or other features. If a subscription expires, is canceled, is not validated, is refunded, is revoked, or if a group exceeds applicable plan limits, features may be restricted, suspended, downgraded, or made unavailable until the issue is resolved.

Some plan limits are daily limits and reset at 00:00 UTC. The daily resource limit applies to creating, updating, or deleting group resources, such as accounts, cards, brokerages, categories, goals, scheduled transactions, investments, and similar records. The daily resource limit is twice the plan's daily transaction limit, with a minimum of 50 resource changes per day.

Advertising

Fyney may display advertisements through third-party advertising services, including Google Mobile Ads. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your settings, applicable law, and the advertising provider's policies. Paid plans may include features that reduce or remove ads. Fyney is not responsible for third-party ads, advertiser content, or external sites and services reached through ads.

Third-Party Services

Fyney relies on third-party services to operate, host, authenticate, store, process, analyze, advertise, validate subscriptions, send notifications, and support the service. These services may include Google Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Play services, Google Sign-In, Google Play Billing, Google Play Developer API, Play Integrity, Google Mobile Ads, and public market reference data sources. Your use of Fyney may be subject to third-party terms, policies, and technical requirements. Fyney is not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

Privacy

Fyney's collection and use of information are described in our Privacy Policy. By using Fyney, you acknowledge that information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

Fyney, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, features, interfaces, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to the Fyney team and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms of Use, you are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Fyney for personal or internal group finance management purposes. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms of Use.

User Content License

You retain any rights you may have in information and files that you submit to Fyney. By entering or uploading information or files, you grant Fyney a limited license to host, store, process, reproduce, display, transmit, synchronize, back up, and otherwise use that content as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service and to make shared group features available according to applicable permissions.

Data Deletion, Suspension, and Termination

You may be able to delete certain records, leave a group, delete a group, delete local data, or request account deletion through Fyney. When account deletion is confirmed, access is disabled and permanent deletion of the authentication account, associated profile data, and remaining uploaded proof files is scheduled to occur 30 days after the request. Financial records previously shared with a group may remain for record integrity without being linked to an active Fyney account. When a group is deleted, access is terminated immediately. Permanent deletion of the group record, financial records, and group proof files is scheduled to begin 30 days after the deletion request. The process is performed in successive batches and may require additional time after that date depending on data volume, service availability, retries, and other technical limitations. Deletion and cleanup processes may also be subject to backup retention, legal obligations, security needs, fraud prevention, and subscription records. Certain actions, including account deletion, group deletion, group exit, member removal, and resource deletion, may be irreversible.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to Fyney, in whole or in part, if we reasonably believe that you violated these Terms of Use, created risk or legal exposure, attempted unauthorized access, abused the service, failed subscription validation, exceeded plan limits, or if suspension is necessary to protect Fyney, users, third parties, or the integrity of the service.

Availability, Changes, and Updates

Fyney may be updated, modified, suspended, interrupted, restricted, or discontinued at any time. Features may change, and some features may be unavailable depending on your device, region, operating system, plan, subscription status, permissions, network connection, or third-party services. We do not guarantee that Fyney will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fyney is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, reliability, and security.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Fyney and its operators, developers, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption, financial losses, investment losses, or damages arising from your use of or inability to use Fyney, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Fyney and its operators, developers, service providers, and affiliates from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of Fyney, your content, your violation of these Terms of Use, your violation of applicable law, or your violation of third-party rights.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through Fyney or another appropriate channel, where required or appropriate. Your continued use of Fyney after the updated Terms of Use become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
